This role sits within a high-performing commissioning team delivering complex LV/MV electrical systems across mission-critical infrastructure. The successful candidate will oversee vendor commissioning activities, track programme milestones, and ensure safe, compliant energisation and handover of systems.
As Commissioning Engineer, you will supervise electrical vendor commissioning activities, monitor progress against programme milestones, and ensure full compliance with project documentation and safety standards.
You will coordinate closely with QA/QC, Authorised Person (AP) teams, and vendors to deliver structured, documented, and controlled commissioning processes. This is a hands-on, site-based role within a fast-paced hyperscale environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure full compliance with approved work scope
• Monitor delivery against commissioning programme milestones
• Attend FATs and FWTs where required
• Organise and participate in daily and weekly Cx meetings
• Produce weekly commissioning progress reports
• Coordinate with QA/QC and AP departments
• Track and review commissioning documentation (test scripts, compliance statements)
• Witness vendor commissioning activities
• Manage commissioning tagging processes
• Conduct day-to-day on-site commissioning operations
• Support structured system energisation and sign-off
Requirements
• 5+ years’ commissioning experience in construction environments
• Experience on commercial, industrial, pharma, or data centre projects
• Strong LV/MV or HV commissioning experience
• Minimum 3 years’ Electrical Testing & Verification experience
• Strong understanding of construction safety procedures
• Process-driven with strong EHS and quality focus
• Analytical problem-solving capability
